::We stayed 1 night on this hotel. It is a well run hotel providing good accomodation and it has a restaurant which offers great food. Rooms are quite basic with good A/C, clean and quiet, since the hotel is located away from the busy area of Kara. Staff is friendly. We recommend staying there when you come to Kara.

::La Douceur remains one of the best hotels in Kara with a very welcoming and helpful staff. I stayed in a mini suite upstairs, which was quite large and I really liked that. What's a bit annoying is the shower tiles, which tarnished over time, giving the impression of a lack of maintenance, even though the staff are trying hard. Another annoying problem is that the air conditioner remote control is completely in Chinese. Weird, isn't it? The final problem is the lack of water. The flow is extremely disappointing and sometimes there’s no water for several hours. The restaurant serves good and inexpensive meals. I like it.

::Stayed 3 nights to explore north of Togo. Hotel has good rooms. Showers are clean. Aircon working good. Friendly staff. The restaurant was particularly good. The best I had in all Togo. And affordable. Try the Foufou with various sides. I recommend staying here and explore Koutammakou (90 min drive) and Grottes de Nok (3h drive and an adventure).

::I love the restaurant here. There's a great menu and the cooks do a great job. If you come with a large group I would recommend all ordering a limited number of items to speed up the waiting time. If you've got 10 people all ordering separately then you'll probably have to wait over an hour to get your meals. But in any case the food is great and I love the atmosphere. It's a grass ceiling outdoor apatam but made up with nice tiles on the floors.
